The news that Kate Walsh has fallen in love with Western Australia has delighted residents of Perth.
Contrary to other Hollywood celebrities who briefly relocated Down Under for employment during the pandemic, the Grey’s Anatomy actress has been in Perth for exactly a year and has no plans to depart anytime soon.
It’s unlikely that Walsh, 53, will be going back to the US anytime soon because she has been working on several projects in Perth, is dating a West Australian farmer, and even moved her pets over from New York City.
The actress is so committed to Washington State that she intends to establish the nation’s first film and television studio there.

Walsh is not a parent. In 2015, she disclosed the information, telling Maria Menounos on her SiriusXM radio program that she couldn’t have children since she entered early menopause.
