Kate Bush was born on July 30, 1958, to nurses Robert and Hannah in Bexleyheath, Kent, England. She grew up in a 350-year-old ancient farmhouse with her older brothers John and Paddy.
Bush started learning how to play the piano when she was 11 after being influenced by her brothers who were active in the local folk music scene and her parents who dabbled in song and dance.
She also started writing her own songs and playing the violin and keyboard. Bush attended St. Joseph’s Convent Grammar School for her education.
