Kasoa ritual murder case: Second suspect alleges frame-up by co-accused

In the Kasoa murder case involving a 10-year-old boy, Nicholas Kini, the second accused, has charged Felix Nyarko, the first accused, with framing him.

Trial dates for Kini and Nyarko begin in 2021. They are charged with killing Ishamael Abdallah in a ritualistic manner.

Nyarko has admitted to the crime and described in court how they hit Abdallah with a block and a stick, buried him alive, and tricked him into entering an incomplete construction. Kini, though, disputes these assertions.

Kini defended himself by saying that he is just an acquaintance from the same neighborhood with Nyarko, not a friend.

He acknowledged that Nyarko had spent the night in his room prior to the event, but he clarified that this was because Nyarko had requested to remain overnight and his room was locked.

Under cross-examination, Kini was questioned about his honesty. He stuck to his story and even hinted that he might have been set up.
