Kanye West withdraws from the 2024 US Presidential Election

Kanye West, now going by Ye, has officially withdrawn his second presidential campaign, according to his personal attorney, Bruce Marks.

The decision comes after a challenging first run for the rapper in 2020. Marks shared that Ye “is not a candidate for office in 2024,” indicating the end of his campaign efforts.

Ye’s initial campaign was marked by a late entry under the “Birthday Party” banner, limited ballot access in only 12 states, and a relatively low-profile campaign despite his immense popularity.

His election performance yielded just 60,000 votes nationwide, despite a significant financial investment.

The rapper’s recent campaign appeared to lack funding, as his Federal Election Commission filing indicated no allocation of funds for primary expenditures and minimal cash-on-hand.

An unnamed source mentioned the possibility of Ye changing his mind, the absence of an organized campaign structure suggests a definitive end to his presidential aspirations.

Neither Ye nor his attorney had commented on the reported withdrawal at the time of the article’s publication.
