Internet users have harshly criticized the setting for U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris’ first address after landing in Ghana. See attached link for picture.  https://twitter.com/thenanaaba/status/1640053512502427652?s=20

In keeping with Ghanaian custom, Harris’ podium was completely covered in kente.

Even though the podium was intended to represent Ghana, it seems that Ghanaians themselves weren’t really pleased with the way it came out.

A picture of Kamala Harris giving her speech surfaced on social media and sparked a lot of jeers.

Internet users claim that the design is utterly out of place and does not represent Ghana well.

Ameyaw Debrah posted the talked-about picture on his Twitter account. https://twitter.com/AmeyawDebrah/status/1640257914559422464?s=20

One person commented: “3s3 makola ntoma shop😂,”

Another couldn’t hold back the laughter as he commented; “Oh so I wasn’t the only one who recognized it..🥺Eny3 koraaaaaaaa…!!!!🫣🫣🫣”

One interesting comment was when a netizen wrote “sorry ghana, next time we will try to send a real person”
