Justin Joshua Jefferson, who was born on June 16, 1999, is an American footballer who plays for the Minnesota Vikings.
Over the course of the first eight games of the season, Jefferson had a solid start, recording over 100 receiving yards against the Chargers, Detroit, and Seattle. In a 34-31 victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 11, Jefferson had eight catches for 169 yards and two touchdowns, earning NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
In a 29-27 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 13, Jefferson hauled in 11 catches for 182 yards and a touchdown. For the first time in his career, Jefferson won the NFC Offensive Player of the Month award for the month of November thanks to his 464 yards and three touchdowns over four games.
In Week 16, Odell Beckham Jr. was defeated by Jefferson for the most receiving yards by a player in his first two NFL seasons. Jefferson finished the season with 1,616 receiving yards, just 16 yards shy of Randy Moss’s single-season team record in the NFL in 2021.
Jefferson became the only wide receiver in Minnesota Vikings history to be selected to the Pro Bowl in both of their first two seasons, joining Sammy White and Randy Moss. Jefferson was chosen to the AP All-Pro second team for the second year in a row despite missing out on a berth on the first team by one vote.
