The 605th-ranked Williams, who will turn 41 next month, defeated the Estonian in New York by scores of (7-6,7-4) (2-6, 6-2). The American, who is now in the third round, has declared her desire to retire after her home major.
On Friday (September 2), Williams will play another thrilling game with Ajla Tomljanovic of Australia. It is going to be another hot one for the G.O.A.T.
Though the American tennis pro had stated earlier and made her intentions clear about retiring soon Serena undoubtedly has a lot to offer in her last days.
