June Muriel Brown is  an award-winning British writer and actress.

She took home the award for best Actress at the Inside Soap Awards in 2005 and Lifetime Achievement at the British Soap Awards in 2006.

June was well-known for her major role as Dot Cotton in the BBC soap opera EastEnders.

She was born on February 16, 1927 in Needham Market, Suffolk, England.

June Brown Brown attended St John’s Church of England School in Ipswich, where she then gained a scholarship to study in Ipswich High School.

The renowned British actress passed on April 3rd this year.
