Born on July 20, 1988, in Orem, Utah, Julianne Hough is an American dancer, actress, singer, and television personality. Her parents are Bruce and Marianne Hough; her father ran for Utah’s 2nd congressional district in 2023 and served as the party’s chairman twice.
She joined the cast of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars in 2007 as a professional dancer, and she and her celebrity partners won the competition twice. In 2014, after quitting in 2009, she returned to the program to take a permanent judge’s seat on Dancing with the Stars, a role she held until 2017. Julianne Hough has been nominated three times for the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Choreography for her work on the show, and she and her brother Derek Hough have won the award once, in 2015.
