Julian Robertson siblings: Blanche Bacon, Wyndham Robertson
Blanche Bacon and Wyndham are the siblings of Robertson.
Tiger Management, one of the first hedge funds, was formed by Robertson.
Robertson is credited for growing the fund from $8 million in start-up money in 1980 to over $22 billion in the late 1990s, albeit this was followed by a precipitous decline in investor withdrawals that resulted in the fund’s closure in 2000.
In 1993, his pay and share of Tiger’s profit topped $300 million. His net worth was estimated to be above $400 million in 2003 and $4.1 billion in December 2017 by Forbes.
In 2008, Robertson stated that he shorted subprime securities and profited from credit default swaps. According to Forbes, Robertson’s return on his $200 million personal trading account the next year was 150 percent.
