Julie Powell, also known as née Foster, was an American writer best known for her 2005 book Julie & Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen, which was based on her blog, the Julie/Julia Project. With a double concentration in theater and creative writing, she obtained her degree from Amherst College in 1995.
