Judy Farrell’s cause of death: How did Judy Farrell die?

Michael Farrell, Farrell’s son, told TMZ that his mother had a stroke nine days before her death on April 2 at the hospital. Despite her alertness, Farrell was unable to talk due to the stroke, but she was able to clasp and squeeze hands with her loved ones.

Nurse Able, played by Farrell, appeared in eight episodes of M*A*S*H, alongside Alan Alda as Captain Benjamin “Hawkeye” Pierce and Gary Burghoff as Cpl. Walter “Radar” O’Reilly.
Mike Farrell, her ex-husband, played Captain B.J. Hunnicutt on the show in the 1970s and 1980s.

Originally called Judy Hayden, she met Farrell in 1961 while studying for a master’s degree at Oklahoma State University and had two children, Erin and Michael, by 1963.

The Farrells’ marriage was interwoven into the plot of the episode “The Colonel’s Horse.”
In that episode, Hunnicutt claimed that his wife Peg, played by Catherine Bergstrom in two on-screen appearances and a few images, was from Quapaw, Oklahoma, Judy’s hometown and that her father’s name was Floyd Hayden. In addition, his on-screen daughter had the same name as his daughter, Erin.

Two years after her divorce from her first husband in 1983, Farrell married actor Joe Bratcher, best known for creating The Howling (1981).
