Joyce Milgaard is a Canadian activist and social rights, advocate. She campaigned for decades for the release of her son David Milgram after a he was wrongfully charged and convicted of murder.

Joyce Milgaard died after suffering a lengthy bout of illness as confirmed by the official statement from her family . She was 89 years of age at the time of her death.
Joyce Milgaard died in March of 2020 in an aged home care facility. It has been confirmed by sources close to the family that her death was not coronavirus related in any way. Her son Chris did however comment that she did not really enjoy her time in the care home due to the limitations on her freedom and usual routine.
Joyce Milgram had earlier lost her husband Lorne in late 2007 after he also suffered from a short illness at the old age of 78. The longtime couple enjoyed their life together after their son was finally released and they received a good sum of money as part of the compensation by the Canadian Government.
