Jouko Ahola was born in Finland’s Hämeenlinna on December 1, 1970. He is an actor best known for his roles in Kingdom of Heaven (2005), Vikings (2013), and Bad Day to Go Fishing (2009).
Jouko is most known for his victories in the World’s Strongest Man competitions in 1997 and 1999, as well as his second-place result in 1998. Additionally, in 1998 and 1999, Ahola won the competition for Europe’s Strongest Man thrice, and in 1996, he came in fourth. Jouko came in second place in 1998 but won the World’s Strongest Team in 1997 and 1999.
The Hercules hold (45.7 seconds, 197 kg) and Atlas Stones were world records set by Ahola (215 kg).
In the World’s Strongest Man competition, he is one of just 10 men to have won the title twice.
