Sidney Edmond Jocelyn Ackland, better known as Englishman Joss Ackland, has passed away.
The seasoned British stage and film actor was well-known for his appearances in “White Mischief” and “Lethal Weapon 2,” and he performed in over 100 motion pictures and television shows.

Ackland was raised in Kilburn, north London, and went to the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. He was born in Ladbroke Grove. At the age of seventeen, he made his professional debut in The Hasty Heart. He then went on to work at several smaller theater companies before joining London’s Old Vic Theatre.
Rosemary Kirkcaldy and Ackland were wed for 51 years until her passing in 2002. Thirty-three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren were born to the couple.
