From 2006 to 2007, Peter Obi, sometimes referred to as “Okwute” (Rock), presided over the Anambra state. He was put on trial. But, in 2007 the impeachment was quashed. On July 19, 1961, a newborn boy named Peter was born. He is 60 years old right now, but by July 2023, he should be 63.

Gregory Peter Obi, also referred to as Peter Obi, was born in Onitsha, in the Anambra state of southeast Nigeria. Obi is an Anambra native who hails from Agulu in the Anaocha Local Government Area. Obi is a Papal Knight of the Order of Saint Sylvester in the Catholic Church.

Obi’s political career rose to notoriety when he ran for governor of Anambra state in 2003 as a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) political party.

On March 17, 2006, Obi went back to work. On November 2, 2006, the State House of Assembly impeached him after seven months in office, and Virginia Etiaba, his deputy, was elected as Nigeria’s first female governor.

Once Obi came to court to contest the impeachment on February 9th, 2007, the Court of Appeal in Enugu restored him.
