Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil has set his sights on being named the Most Valuable Player in the Major League Soccer at the end of the 2024 season. The 26-year-old made the move to the United States in January from Belgian club Genk.

Since joining LA Galaxy, Paintsil has made a significant impact, scoring three goals and providing three assists in just eight appearances. One of his standout performances came in a recent match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC, where he scored the winning goal and set up another to secure a 3-1 victory for his team.

Paintsil, who was signed for nearly $9 million, expressed his ambition to win the MVP award, emphasizing that team success comes first. He believes that as the team does well, individual achievements will follow.

“Being named MVP is a goal that every player dreams of achieving. For me, it’s important to contribute to the team’s success first and foremost. If I can maintain high levels of performance and help the team win games, individual accolades will come naturally,” Paintsil stated on mlssoccer.com.

The Ghanaian forward is determined to continue working hard and improving his game to help LA Galaxy achieve their goals and, in turn, boost his chances of being named the MLS MVP in 2024.
