Jorge Ballesteros, a Spanish shooting champion, has passed away.

After being discovered dead in his car, the 39-year-old, who is regarded as Spain’s best shooter of all time, has received condolences from all throughout the nation.

Miguel Frances, the president of the Spanish Shooting Federation, has sent his sympathies to the family.

In response to the news, Frances also expressed his “desolation,” stating that Spain had lost “a wonderful athlete” and “an extraordinary human being.”

Jorge Ballesteros, the greatest Spanish IPSC athlete in history, departed away at the age of 39, sending shockwaves across the shooting community, according to a tweet from the Royal Spanish Shooting Federation.

The 2017 Open World Champion also won three European titles, six Extreme Europe Opens, and 17 Spanish championships.

He was the youngest person ever to win the title of Open Absolute Champion of Spain when he did so at the age of 18.

He was unable to partake in the Olympic Games, much to his dismay. This is due to the fact that during his career, his chosen discipline was not an Olympic sport.

Ballesteros worked as a police officer in his community when he wasn’t shooting. He leaves a wife and two kids in his wake.

Five weeks ago, when he lost to Christian Sailer in the World Championship, he posted his final Instagram.

Jorge Ballesteros’ family is yet to make an official statement about his funeral arrangements. Keep an eye here as we update. Our condolences go to the family and sympathizers.
