Jordan X. Davis (born January 12, 2000) is a defensive tackle for the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles (NFL).
He attended Georgia and was a member of the squad that won the College Football Playoff National Championship in 2022, while also receiving the Chuck Bednarik Award and the Outland Trophy as a senior in 2021. Davis was selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
In Charlotte, North Carolina, on January 12, 2000, Davis was conceived. Prior to moving as a junior to Mallard Creek High School, when he started playing football, he played basketball at Hopewell High School. He declined offers to play collegiate football at Clemson, Florida, Miami (Florida), and North Carolina in favor of Georgia.
As a true freshman, Davis made four starts in 11 games while compiling 25 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He was selected to the SEC All-Freshman team and named a Freshman All-American by the Football Writers Association of America. He recorded 18 stops, 4.5 losses, and 2.5 sacks as a sophomore.
