Jordan Davis, born January 12, 2000, in North Carolina, is an American football defensive tackle with the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles (NFL).
He began his basketball career at Hopewell High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, before transferring to Mallard Creek High School as a junior when he began to play football.
He decided to play high school football in Georgia and turned down offers from Clemson, Florida, Miami, and North Carolina.
Davis attended Georgia and was a member of the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship team, receiving the Chuck Bednarik Award and the Outland Trophy as a senior in 2021.
Davis was selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Davis recorded a 4.78-second 40-yard dash at the 2022 NFL Combine, making him only the third player over 330 pounds to sprint under 5 seconds. Greg Robinson (2012) and Dontari Poe (2012) (2014).
