Presenter Jonnie Irwin of A Place In The Sun has taken off today for a vacation in honor of his 49th birthday.

After declaring he has terminal cancer earlier this week, he thanked his fans for their encouraging remarks and announced his trip shortly after.

He stood among the sheep two days ago, enjoying a break in the countryside.

“Overwhelmed by your lovely words, I haven’t had a chance to read them all yet, but I guarantee you I will,” he said in the post’s caption.

“I needed some mental space yesterday, so my brother-in-law and I went to the country. It was restorative.

Later, he posted a photo of himself on a plane, flying to an unidentified location.

Jonnie recalls receiving the news that he has six months to live after learning that he has lung cancer just before his birthday.

He underwent additional testing before learning that cancer had spread to his brain and was now deadly.

The real estate specialist explained to Hello! Magazine that the diagnosis was made after experiencing blurred vision during filming in 2020.
