Social media users, especially Twitter, are lambasting the Recording Academy for giving the most nods to American musician Jon Batiste.

The musician, who is known as the bandleader and music director for “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” led the 64th Grammy pack.

He grabbed the most awards, securing 11 nods. He is closely followed by Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and H.E.R., who have eight nod each. Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo are next with seven each.

After receiving his nominations, Jon Baptiste took to Twitter to thank God, his collaborators and ancestors.

“WOW!! Thank you God!! I love EVERYBODY! I’m so grateful to my collaborators and to my ancestors,” he tweeted.

However, Twitter users have expressed their disappointment in the Recording Academy for giving the most nomination to Jon Batiste.

“Now y’all about to piss me off with this “visibility” BS. Normani is visible. Wild Side was everywhere. H.E.R. and Jon Batiste are the most nominated artist this year. Now be quick and tell me 3 songs they dropped this year…EXACTLY! It’s not about visibility it’s about politics,” a user said.

Another user asked: “no offense but who?”

See below how Twitter users reacted to Jon Batiste’s Grammy nominations.
