Yesterday marked 6 years since the passing of former President John Evans Fiifi Atta-Mills and his then Veep, John Mahama took the opportunity to post a touching tribute to his former boss.
John Mahama posted a picture to his Instagram of him and the late Atta-Mills and said:
“Six years ago today, your death was a most earthshaking moment in Ghana’s political history. You epitomized the principles of peace and treatment of all Ghanaians equally no matter their political affiliation. Those principles you represented, are even more relevant today than ever before.
Fondly remembered.
Rest in Peace, Prof.”
As can be remembered, John Mahama was the then Vice-President to John Evans Atta-Mills till his demise and took over temporal power till he was later elected full time in the 2012 elections.
