On June 16, 1935, John Patrick Leo was born. He was an American journalist and writer. He was known for his reporting for The New York Times and Time magazine, as well as his essays in the National Catholic Reporter and U.S. News & World Report.
Later, he became the editor-in-chief of Minding the Campus, a conservative-libertarian website devoted to American schools and institutions. In 2007, he became a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute after retiring from journalism.
