John Gordon Leefe was a Canadian author, former educator, and political figure from Nova Scotia.
From 1978 to 1999, he was a Progressive Conservative member of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly, representing Queens. He was also the mayor of the Queens Region Municipality from 2000 to 2012.
Leefe taught for the Queens District School Board in Saint John, Halifax, and Liverpool, Nova Scotia, where he was Head of the Social Studies Department and later Assistant Director of Curriculum.

Leefe was survived by his wife Nancy Leefe to whom he had been married for 58 years, his son Philip Leefe and his daughter Sarah Ackerman.
He died at the ripe age of 80 years.
