John William Hollins MBE, an English football player and manager, lived from 16 July 1946 until 14 June 2023. Prior to later in his career transitioning into a productive full-back, he first played as a midfielder.
Hollins earned a total of 714 First level appearances while playing in the Football League for Chelsea, Queens Park Rangers, and Arsenal, which is second only to goalkeeper Peter Shilton’s record for an outfield player in England’s top-level.
