John Charles Eastman, born on April 21, 1960, is an American lawyer who founded the Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, a public interest legal practice linked with the conservative think tank Claremont Institute.

He was previously a professor and dean at Chapman University’s School of Law. He campaigned unsuccessfully for California’s 34th congressional district as a Republican in 1990, and for California Attorney General in 2010. He worked as a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

She has taught in the departments of Political Science, History, and Liberal Studies. At the University of Colorado, Boulder, she was the Benson Center for the Study of Western Civilizations’ 2020-21 Senior Scholar in Residence.

Elizabeth Eastman, who was born in February 1961, has two children: a son who works as an Astronautical Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama, and a daughter who works in public policy in Washington, D.C.
