The actor claims that the tragic event took place on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

Dumelo, who is obviously devastated by the loss of his mother, sent an expressive message on social media that read:
My heart is shattered. My biggest supporter, my darling mother, passed away quietly yesterday. An angel has been added to heaven.
John and his mother had a close relationship, which was clear from how frequently he featured her on social media.
