John Glenn Bruhin, an American football guard who played four seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League, NFL, has passed away at 57 on Thursday.
The news about John Bruhin’s death was made known by the afternoon host of Sportstalk on SpotrtsRadioWNML, Jimmy Hyams, who posted it on his tweeter handle.
“Sad to report that former Tennessee star OL John Bruhin died last night. He was 57. He played at Powell HS, UT (1983-87) and was 4th round pick of Tampa Bay in 1988. He was inducted into Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame in 1984.”
During the 1988 National Football League(NFL) Draft, John was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fourth round.
In his college days, John Bruhin played at the University of Tennessee and also high school football at Powell High School in Powell, Tennesee.

Jimmy Hyams appeared in 11 games in 1986 and played in all 12 games in 1987.

In 1988, John Bruhin played many games for Tampa Bay and started several games for the team during the 1990 season alternating as a left guard with Tom McHale.

However, in 1989 he suffered a knee injury in the seventh game of the season and missed playing several games.

In 1991, he bounced back to play in the season, where he was alternating the starting spot with right guard Ian Beckles and Tom McHale.
