Gospel artiste, Joe Mettle was adjudged the over all artiste of the year at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
This feat makes him the first Gospel Musician to win the award after the scheme was instituted in 2000 by Charter House.
Prior to this day, artistes such as Sonnie Badu, Phillipa Abaafi, Obaapa Christy and other musicians had failed to make the mark after receiving nominations in various years.
Joe Mettle, according to pundits has opened the floog gates for gospel musicians to take over the music industry in the coming years.
