Joe Hart, a former congressman and mine inspector for Arizona, passed away on Sunday at the age of 78.
We are incredibly grieved by Inspector Joe Hart’s passing. He was a stalwart of the state government and a zealous supporter of the mining sector.
He was also instrumental in ensuring mine safety in Arizona.

Joe Hart, an American politician who represented Arizona’s 2nd Legislative District in the Arizona House of Representatives and served as the 11th State Mine Inspector of Arizona from 2007 to 2021, was born on May 8, 1944, and he passed away on September 11, 2022. (1992–2001).
He was a Republican Party supporter.
Hart attended Mohave Community College and Fullerton Junior College.
Hart has previously held positions with Hart to Hart Trucking, the Black Mountain Cattle Company, and the Duval Mining Corporation (which at the time owned the Mineral Park mine).
Additionally, he is the proprietor of the television station KKAX-LD, radio stations KGMN, KZKE, and KYET.
