Joe E. Tata, who played Nat Bussichio, the wise owner of the Peach Pit in the 1990s drama “Beverly Hills, 90210,” has died at the age of 85.
Did Joe E Tata have Alzheimer’s?
In 2018, Tata was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
His daughter Kelly stated that his health deteriorated after he finished his final episode of ABC’s “Mystery Girls” in 2014, prompting her to move in with him to be his full-time caregiver.
Tata died Thursday morning in a Southern California care facility, according to his conservatorship’s court-appointed attorney, Richard W. Sharpe.
Though he did not give information on the exact cause of death, Sharpe said that Tata had been ill for quite a while now.
The actor’s demise was first reported by his “Beverly Hills, 90210” co-star Ian Ziering, who took to social media on Thursday to mourn Tata, as well as the recent deaths of other known celebrities such as “90210” producer Jessica Klein and actor Denise Dowse.
