Many award-winning performers, including Harrison Ford, Danny Glover, Roy Scheider, James Woods, Henry Winkler, Elizabeth McGovern, Philip Seymour Hoffman, William H. Macy, and James Gandolfini, owe their careers to Scott. She also helped authors George Wing, David Henry Hwang, Robert Schenkkan, David Magee, and Jonathan Larson, as well as filmmakers Joe Mantello and Philip Noyce, become published.

She also aided in the development of numerous literary and talent agents who went on to lead studios or become partners at larger agencies.

Nellie Bellflower, an Academy Award contender, and Finding Neverland producer, applauded Scott’s dedication. “Once you were her customer, you became part of her family.”

Scott, who was born on June 14, 1924, in New Jersey, began her work in New York as a secretary at Ashley Famous Agency, which subsequently became MCA. In the 1950s, she left Ashley Famous to form her own agency, then relocated to Los Angeles to launch a second office. She lived in Los Angeles for three decades before moving back to New York.

Paradigm purchased Writers and Artists in 2004, allowing Scott to launch her own company.
