A “patriot, a decent [and] honorable man, and above all and most significantly, a great family man,” according to opposition leader Peter Dutton, was lost to the country.
Australia had “lost a true patriot and serviceman who displayed an unshakeable dedication to the safety and security of our nation,” according to Simon Birmingham, the leader of the minority in the Senate.
