Jethro Cave, the Australian model, and actor who brutally assaulted his mother last month have been confirmed dead.
The 31-year-old, who lived in Melbourne, was the son of popular Australian singer, Nick Cave of the music group, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
Why did Jethro Cave go to jail?
In April this year, Jethro was arrested and jailed for violently assaulting his mother, Beau Lazenby.
According to reports, he kneed his mother in the face and left her bruised and bleeding.
He was also jailed in 2018 for assaulting and threatening he was going to murder his girlfriend.
Why did Jethro Cave attack his mother?
According to his mother, he showed up at her front around midnight on March 7 and convinced her to allow him to spend the night with her.
The following morning, the two go into an argument after he demanded she buys cigarettes for him.
According to his lawyers, he was suffering from schizophrenia, a mental disorder that affects a person’s ability to think feel and behave clearly.
He was released from jail just two days ago.
His death was confirmed by his father in a statement that read, “With much sadness, I can confirm that my son, Jethro has passed away”. “We would be grateful for family privacy at this time”, he added.
