However, Kym Marsh has been left heartbroken after her dad was told he has incurable prostate cancer.
Kym disclosed that the illness has progressed to her father’s pelvis, spine, ribs, and left leg.
“I can’t deny that it’s been a really tough period, but we’ve always been extremely tight as a family, so we’ve been able to chat together and prepare for the future, which is vital,” the former Corrie actress told The Sun.
Her husband, Marsch, was named assistant coach at German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig in 2018 under Ralf Rangnick; the squad finished third in the league, finished second in the German Cup, and participated in the UEFA Europa League.
The following season, Marsch has named Marco Rose’s replacement as coach of Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga; he guided the team to a league and cup double in two consecutive seasons, while Salzburg reached consecutive Champions League group stage appearances for the first time in club history. He returned to RB Leipzig as team coach for the 2021-22 season after departing by mutual consent in December and joined Leeds United the following month.
