American band “the Crickets” lost Ine of their very own drummer Jerry Ivan Allison. Jerry was an American musician, best known as the drummer for the Crickets. Jerry was a co-writer to one of their hits “That’ll Be the Day” and “Peggy Sue”, which were recorded with Buddy Holly.
Jerry Allison was born on August 31, 1939, in Hillsboro, Texas, United States. He died on. August 22, 2022.

Jerry Allison is the last surviving original member of the late Buddy Holly’s backing group The Crickets.

Allison’s only solo chart entry on the Billboard Hot 100 was “Real Wild Child”, which was issued in 1958 under the name Ivan.
