Jerry Allison was an American musician, best known as the drummer for the Crickets and co-writer of their hits “That’ll Be the Day” and “Peggy Sue”, recorded with Buddy Holly.

Jerry’s first professional recording was “Who’s Gonna Be the Next One Honey”, released by a local group, Hal Goodson and the Raiders. It was also performed at the Norman Petty studio in Clovis, New Mexico, about six months before “Peggy Sue” was recorded

Peggy Sue Gerron was the wife of the music icon Jerry. The two got married in the year 1958 when Jerry was 19 and Peggy was 18. Peggy was born in the year 1940 and she died in 2018.
