Jeremy Lee Renner is an American actor and musician who was born on January 7, 1971. He started out in independent movies like Dahmer (2002) and Neo Ned (2005) before moving on to supporting parts in major movies like S.W.A.T. (2003) and 28 Weeks Later (2007). Renner received nominations for both the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and the Academy Award for Best Actor for his work in The Hurt Locker (2010).
Renner made his cinematic debut in the 1995 comedy National Lampoon’s Senior Trip as an underachieving student. Despite the film’s critical acclaim, he went on to guest star on two television shows, Deadly Games and Strange Luck, and had a minor role as Paul Hewitt’s friend in the television film A Friend’s Betrayal (Brian Austin Green). Renner later appeared in Zoe, Duncan, Jack, and Jane (1999), The Net (1999), The Time of Your Life (1999), and Angel (1999). (2000). Renner appeared in a CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode in 2001. Renner worked as a makeup artist to make ends meet during this time.

On January 13, 2014, Renner married Canadian model Sonni Pacheco. Pacheco and Renner have a daughter. Pacheco filed for divorce from Renner on December 30, 2014, alleging irreconcilable differences.
Their daughter is in shared custody. Pacheco and their daughter appear in American Hustle, in which Renner plays Carmine Polito, the mayor of Camden, New Jersey.
