American actress Jenna Marie Ortega was born on September 27, 2002. She began acting as a child when she was young, winning praise for her portrayal of a young Jane in the comedy-drama Jane the Virgin on The CW (2014–2019). Her role as Harley Diaz in the Disney Channel series Stuck in the Middle (2016–2018), for which she received an Imagen Award, served as her big break. Both the family film Yes Day and the second season of the Netflix thriller series You cast her as Ellie Alves. After receiving critical acclaim for her performance in the teen drama The Fallout (2021), Ortega went on to star in the slasher films X and Scream in 2022, establishing herself as a scream queen. She played Wednesday Addams in the Netflix horror comedy series Wednesday (2022), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination.
Ortega had been interested in performing since he was six years old. She began receiving auditions at the age of eight, with the support of her mother and agents, and quickly made her acting debut in 2012, with a guest role for Rob in the episode “Baby Bug.” Following that, she appeared as Aimee Moore on the episode “Unspoken” of CSI: NY. In 2013, she made her film debut as the vice president’s daughter in the superhero blockbuster Iron Man 3.
