Jayde Pricilla Gail Adams is a British comedian, actor, writer, and singer who was born on November 26, 1984, in Bristol, England. She received the Funny Women prize in 2014 and advanced to the finals of the Edinburgh Comedy Awards’ Best Newcomer category in 2016.
Adams started performing stand-up comedy in the wake of her sister Jenna’s premature death from an inoperable brain tumor in 2011. Although she never got formal acting or singing instruction, Adams participated in a variety of young theater groups in Bristol as a child, including Bristol Old Vic Youth Theatre. In order to pursue her studies in drama, theater, and media at the University of Glamorgan, she moved to Wales in 2004.
