Jay Haas

Haas grew up in Belleville, Illinois after being born in St. Louis, Missouri on 2nd December 1953.

He was a member of the middle 1970s NCAA Championship team with Curtis Strange and Bob Byman, which Golf World dubbed “the greatest college team of all time.”

Jay has competed in 799 PGA Tour events. He has competed in 87 majors without winning any of them.

In 2004, Haas was one of Hal Sutton’s captain’s picks for the Ryder Cup.

He won twice on the Champions Tour in 2005 and finished first on the money list.

Jay Haas was named Charles Schwab Cup Player of the Year in 2008.

In 2012, he won his 16th Champions Tour title.

At 62 years, he became the second-oldest golfer to win a PGA Tour Champions event in 2016.
