Jamin Pugh, popularly known in the wrestling world as Jay Briscoe lived from January 25, 1984, to January 17, 2023.

He was best remembered for his tenure with Ring of Honor, where he was one-half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions at the time of his death.

His brother Mark is also a professional wrestler. He won the ROH World Tag Team Championship 13 times with his brother Jay. He also wrestled for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and Pro-Wrestling Noah in Japan. He is presently under contract with Ring of Honor.

On January 20, 2001, Jay and Mark Briscoe made their Combat Zone Wrestling debuts at Delaware Invasion. In a three-way battle alongside Nick Mondo, they advanced past the first round. Fans consider this match to have played a significant role in launching the brothers’ careers.

On July 14, 2001, Jay and Mark defeated the original H8 Club to win the CZW Tag Team Championship. They were defeated in their maiden defense by Johnny Kashmere and Justice Pain.

After that, Mark was used as a singles wrestler for several months.
