Javier Gerardo Milei, better known by his full name Javier Milei, was born on October 22, 1970, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is an economist and politician in Argentina. Javier was 52 years old at the time this article was being written. Before enrolling in the University of Belgrano’s economics program, Milei worked as a goalie.

In addition to hosting the radio shows Demoliendo mitos and Cátedra libre, he is the author of various books on politics and economics. He became well-known and gained widespread exposure through his arguments and remarks on Argentine television programs produced by several channels, which inspired him to pursue politics in 2021.

Since December 2021, Milei has represented his group, La Libertad Avanza, as the national deputy (a deputee in the Argentine Chamber of Deputies) in Buenos Aires. Milei calls himself la Peluca (“The Wig”) because of his unusual hairstyle. His constant insistence that he does not comb his hair has attracted a lot of media attention.

Milei is a member of the Libertarian Party [es; fr; de] and runs for president of Argentina as part of La Libertad Avanza. His campaign companion is Victoria Villarruel. His popularity increased in the polls in May 2023, when the inflation rate reached 100%. When Milei declared he would allow the open sale of human organs and weapons during the 2023 Argentine primary election campaign, he stirred some controversy. Additionally, his comments that were perceived as misogynistic drew criticism.
