Oliver Taylor Hawkins was an American musician who lived from February 17, 1972 until March 25, 2022. He was best known as the drummer for the Foo Fighters, a rock band.

Oliver Taylor Hawkins was brought into the world on February 17, 1972, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Hawkins developed brought up in Laguna Beach, California, where his family moved in 1976. Hawkins has two kin: a sibling named Jason and a sister named Heather. In 1990, he moved on from Laguna Beach High School.

He was the touring drummer for Sass Jordan and Alanis Morissette, as well as the drummer in the progressive experimental band Sylvia, before joining the band in 1997.

Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, a side project in which he played drums and sang, was created in 2004. In 2005, the British drumming magazine Rhythm named him “Best Rock Drummer.”
