A committee has been set up to investigate the events that led to the riots at the US Capitol on 6th January 2021. Former President Donald Trump and his cronies have been accused of trying all they could to overturn the results in battleground states.
They allegedly piled undue pressure on these officials in those key battleground states to achieve their aim. This will be the main focus of the hearing on Tuesday. Adam Schiff, a member of the committee and a Democratic Representative will is expected to lead proceedings.

The state of Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and his deputy Gabe Sterling are expected to testify at the hearing on Tuesday.
Brad Raffensperger has been at the center of this controversy from the jump. He allegedly received a phone call from the then President to ”find” the votes required for him to win the state of Georgia.
