Janelle Brown, one of the stars of the popular reality show “Sister Wives,” is mourning the loss of her son, Garrison Brown, who passed away at the age of 25. The heartbreaking news was confirmed by Janelle and her husband Kody on Instagram on Tuesday, March 5.

In a post shared on social media, Kody and Janelle expressed their deep sadness at the loss of their son, referring to him as a “beautiful boy” who was a bright spot in the lives of those who knew him. They requested privacy as they grieve and asked for support in honoring Garrison’s memory.

While the family did not disclose the cause of Garrison’s death, TMZ reports that Flagstaff authorities revealed he suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Garrison’s brother, Gabriel, was the one who discovered his body.

The Brown family has been featured on TLC’s “Sister Wives” since 2010, showcasing their polygamist lifestyle with Kody, his wives Robyn, Meri, Janelle, and Christine, and their combined 18 children. Over the years, the family has moved from Lehi, Utah to Las Vegas and eventually settled in Flagstaff, Arizona in 2018.

Garrison was one of Janelle and Kody’s six children, with siblings including Logan, Maddie, Hunter, Gabriel, and Savana. The latest season of “Sister Wives” aired on TLC between August 20, 2023, and December 19, 2023.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to the Brown family during this difficult time as they mourn the loss of their beloved son, Garrison.
