Jane McNeill-Balter, better known as Jane McNeill, is an American stage, film, and television actor best known for her recurring role as Patricia in the second season of The Walking Dead.
McNeill grew raised in Whiteville, North Carolina, in Columbus County. John McNeill and Margaret Powell McNeill are her parents. McNeill first became interested in theater and performance while he was in sixth grade.
McNeill worked as an actor in Wilmington, North Carolina, for a year before traveling to Kentucky and spending six months with a repertory theater.

McNeill was born on the 18th of May, 1899. He was the younger but only surviving son of Duncan McNeill, a Shanghai-based barrister, and his wife Emilie Margaret (Daisy) Waddington.
Vera Waddington, an artist, was his maternal aunt (1876–1954) The McNeills descended from the old Highland family of Colonsay.
In 1927, McNeill married the former Amy Yvonne Maynard (d.1977), a concert pianist and the daughter of Francis Maynard. McNeill married her during the ceremony, which the Queen attended.
