Jane Furneaux Garrett was an Australian politician.
She was the Labor Party’s member for Brunswick in the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 2010 until 2018, when she transferred to the Victorian Legislative Council to represent Eastern Victoria.
Her death recently shocked the world as her cancer returned.
Jane passed on 2nd July 2022 at 49 years.

Molly is 19, Sasha is 15, and Max is ten years old.
Garrett ran on the Left ticket for the position of ALP National President. She was elected to the position of National Junior Vice President and began her term in December 2011. Garrett served as a shadow cabinet secretary prior to the 2014 state election.
Garrett was appointed Minister for Emergency Services and Minister for Consumer Affairs, Gaming, and Liquor Regulation in the newly-elected Andrews Labor government after winning re-election in 2014.
Garrett posted on Facebook in November 2016 that she had undergone a successful procedure for breast cancer and will be taking four months off from her position as a member of parliament to heal.
