Sarah Bloom Raskin is an American attorney and regulator who from 2014 to 2017, was the 13th United States Deputy Secretary of the Treasury.

Sarah Bloom Raskin was born to a Jewish family in Medford, Massachusetts.
She attended Amherst College where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 1983. She later attended Harvard Law School, where she obtained her Juris Doctor.
On January 14, 2022, the Biden administration nominated her to serve as vice chairwoman for banking supervision at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.
This was opposed by Republican lawmakers and on March 15, the nomination was withdrawn at her request.
She is married to the U.S. representative for Maryland’s 8th congressional district, Jamie Raskin. The couple had three children and currently live in Takoma Park, Maryland.
They have two adult daughters named Hannah and Tabitha. Their son, Thomas, after a long battle with depression, died on December 31, 2020, at the age of 25. He was a graduate of Amherst College and a second-year student at Harvard Law School.
